Revolution, that took place in the past, completely changed the lives of the people.

Industrial revolution, in 18th and 19th century is a case in point. This revolution removed the outdated methods of production and introduced new methods of production so that man’s work could be made easy. It now saves time of the workers. By using machinery, production level has also increased coupled with less consumption of time and money. By the same token, Glorious Revolution in 1688 is another milestone in the history. It ended monarchs’ unchecked power in the Great Britain. It also, ultimately, paved the way for democracy there. Similarly, French revolution, in 1789, ended tyrannical rule of monarch in France; and people breathed sigh of relief. Then, American Revolution or war of independence from 1775 to 1783 is another revolution that established democracy. Similarly, history is full of many other examples of revolutions that proved beneficial for the common man; and now people reaping the benefits of it.

Revolution brought those changes which evolution could not do in its entire life; it would be safe to conclude that revolution is far better than evolution.
Well, you are right in the sense. Evolution is a centuries long process during which people continue to suffer and in the end, it is even not able to change any thing on its own. But you see, you can not separate evolution and revolution. Their co-existence is inevitable. Every revolution fails that is not preceded by Evolution. every evolution is useless if it is not succeeded by a revolution to complete the change process.
