I attempted this paper from IR point of view, hence, in my introduction i.e. What is Nation? I presented the definition of nation-state; in why nations do have to fight, I gave example of PK and India with Kashmir issue and water-dispute and throwing economy as an anchor to solve their issues.

I also presented how the definition of 'Great Nations' has varied since the beginning of times by giving examples of Greeks constituted Great Nation with their envious knowledge in form of libraries & institutions. Then, I moved to how Romans became a great nation with an amalgamation of knowledge and armies.

Then I moved to how Bismark unified Germany; how it was broken in WWI, and Adolf Hitler carried an ambition of making Germany a 'Great Nation' for which he had to 'fight' blinded by racism toward Jews and hatred toward socialism of Russia and driven by the desire of expansion.

Then I included examples of Post WWII Germany & Japan on how they rose from the ashes and ghostly past to become one of great nations without fighting.

I had also thrown in realism and liberalism at the start of the essay.

I concluded that not every nation can be a great nation without fight in a real world, although quite possible in an ideal world, but I threw the point that what great nations can do is to assist the prospering nations in the fields of technology, welfare, education, economy and that too will be considered 'winning' and without 'a fight' and that's how great nation win without fighting.

Criticism is most welcome, but bear in mind, I attempted this essay solely on the basis of my IR knowledge. Thank you.
