Great Sheerazi but as far as English is concerned I think we should not read the books now, read newspapers however for English Grammer & Composition I used
Wren & Martin book its nice and simple.
You also have Exploring the world of English it is the best book. I am writing a post about preparing Essay and current affair please check this also

Hello Inerrant I suggest you to opt in Islamic History because IH one is easy because most of the events are already known to us. But its totally up to you and your Interest in choosing subjects.
