National internal security policy envisioned rapid deployment force, which is good idea but again the working pattern of force is confused and myopic.

To me ,the rapid deployment force should be superior force highly equipped with intelligence,physical and technological skills. The authority of such force should surpass the police it should be directly under the PM because if we are going to decentralize such force at provincial level then it will not be effective as each province has different government and every one of them has its own policy regarding internal security.

The roots of above model can be traced to American counter terrorism force.
The learned interior minister is again committing blunder by attaching rapid deployment force with social welfare work under the same ministry.

Both are interconnected but government should deal with both issues under separate ministery that really will improve efficiency and effectiveness.
