They are almost synonyms. Envy is what you feel when you want to possess someone's award, achievement or good fortune. For example, you might feel envy for another person's recently won lottery.

Jealousy is what you feel when you think someone gets something you deserve more. For example, a child may feel jealousy when his mother loves his brother more.
