Question of the day:
8Q. After the independence, Pakistan was had to formulate a good foreign policy. In 1949, USSR extended invitation to Prime Minister Liaqat Ali Khan to visit Moscow. He instead accepted the invitation given by USA to visit Washington, making it clear with whom Pakistan was going to ally in future. India, on the other hand had decided to adopt a non-aligned policy.
a) Was it a right move on part of Pakistan to ally with US at that time?
b) What should be the new foreign policy outlook towards both the US and Russia in today's world? Discuss.
