If the paper is similar to the one that came up in 2014, focus more on argumentation and even the omission of Ayats and Ahadith might not be a problem.

On the other hand, if the paper is conventional and the questions are, for instance, regarding the pillars of Islam as we saw in 2013, you cannot do away with the paper without quoting verses and quotes of the Holy Prophet [Peace be Upon Him].
