Do not confuse the 'time span' with 'degree'. MBA is surely equal to MPhil when it comes to 'years of education' (total 18 Years), however, when you utter that MBA is equal to MPhil, that’s totally crazy. Have you ever witnessed MBA holder's degree? Is it written that the candidate is bestowed with 'Masters in Philosophy'? No its not. On MBA degree, it’s clearly written that the individual has cleared 'Masters in Business Administration'. Also, BBA (Hons) and BSC (Hons) are also granted the respective degrees. They are not granted M.S equivalent degrees.
Simple BSc 14 Years
Simple MSc 16 Years
BBA (Hons) or BSC (Hons) 16 Years
MSc(Hons) 18 Years
MBA 18 Years (As per HEC requirements, various universities now do not grant MBA admissions to the candidates with 14 years of education).
If you want more details, you can visit the official website of HEC
http://www.hec.gov.pk/InsideHEC/Divi...Pages/PQR.aspx . As per HEC data, simple BA is either a 2, 3 or 4 years degree depending upon the credit hours distribution. 4 years BA requires 124-136 credit hours.
Corporate sector pays little emphasis on Mphil. On the other hand, MS and MBA are highly desirable degrees in private sector. Hence, Mphil will never be equal to MBA even if its a 20 years degree because their contents and nature are way different from each other.
