Well, being an unintelligent student of Islamic history the golden era of Muslims was of the Muslims who were not among the "Main stream Muslims".
Mostly were afflicted with Fatwas...Same is true with Christianity...
Can deduce with history, what is the diagnosis and what is treatment and prevention.
What I think is the wrong and narrow interpretations of Islam reinforced with malice of personal and political interests.
Scientists were free from these interests.
