Friends, i have a confusion understanding the difference b/w Missionaries and reformists in past papers. Kindly help me clear this.

1 - Describe the role of Muslim Religious Leaders/Missionaries/Silsilas/Orders in the Growth/establishment of Muslim society in sub-continent?
2 - Describe the role of Shah Waliullah/Sarhindi/Syed Ahmad/Sir Syed movements on the life of Muslims in sub-continent?

What i understood from these is that question no. 1 is all about the growth/expansion/establishment of Muslim society and is asking about the chishtiya/suharwardiya/naqshbandia etc orders and other sufis and saints like Data Ganj Bakhsh and Baha u din Zakariya etc?
Question no. 2 is all about the renaissance of Muslims after the downfall of Mughals?
