It is a widely accepted misconception by both Muslims and Non-Muslims that Ayesha R.A hadn't attained puberty when she married Prophet PBUH and was merely of age 6 or 9 years.

Ayesha's R.A age wasn't 6 and 9 at the time of betrothal and consummation of marriage,respectively. Rather, it was somewhat between 16-19. We have dozens of proves in this regard.

Dozens of times I have seen Muslims getting baffled when they are asked by Non-Muslims that why Prophet PBUH married a child (Nauzbillah) and even exceedingly they use a technical word for it i.e Paed.... (Nauzbillah) and Muslims keep on scratching their heads,try to change the topic or start abusing next person...Get caught in Red Herring fallacy and your opponent soon realizes that you are committing famous art tied to Muslims logic called "Al-Takkiya" i.e Deceptive way of Changing the facts...

Never jump in a debate when you haven't enough research on it especially with Non-Muslims because it further reinforces their doubts...

Plus I would Recommend all Muslims to read a book named " ShehanShah-e-Kull" written by Retd. Col. Muhammad Anwar Madni...It would give you basic clues about various facts on the uniqueness of Prophet's Life...
