Title: Chairman NAB approved training of IOs at Police Training College Sihala

ISLAMABAD, July 10, 2015: Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudry, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chaired a meeting to review the progress on the training plan for the newly recruited Investigation Officers (IOs) of NAB in line with the directions of Chairman NAB for organizing training on modern lines. Director General (DG) Training & Research (T&R) Division gave a presentation on the training program planned for Investigators Basic Induction Course 2015.

DG (T&R) Division informed that process of recruitment of incoming investigation officers from BS-16 to BS-18 has been completed by HRM NAB. The T&R Division NAB has accordingly planned Investigator’s Basic Induction Course for the incoming Investigation Officers at Police Training College Sihala. He informed that on the directions of Chairman NAB, the previous Course contents were circulated to all Regional NABs and Divisions/Wings of NAB Headquarters for their comments and feedback. As a result of this exercise and on the basis of input obtained, the course contents have been accordingly readjusted on modern lines and necessary adjustments have been incorporated within the seven Training Modules namely on Law Enforcement, Government Working, Law, Investigation, White Collar Crimes, Prevention Regime and study visits. A standardized syllabus for all investigation officers for their capacity building courses has been formulated to ensure quality and uniformity which will help NAB in achieving standard application of SOPs, Laws and rules.

While chairing the meeting, Chairman NAB, Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudry said that training is an important aspect in the capacity building of all ranks of NAB as training is the cutting edge of effective job performance. He said that training is an instrument through which human capabilities are developed for enhancing practical and productive efforts. The Chairman said that NAB has been assigned a major responsibility of eradicating corruption and corrupt practices from the country and bring the guilty to book. An effective execution of this mandate necessities professional competence of its human resource continuously.

The Chairman NAB said that NAB is a vibrant and a dynamic organization which recognizes the centrality of training as a tool of improvement and maintaining the quality of its manpower. He approved the proposal for conduct of training for incoming Investigator’s Basic Induction Course-VII (2015) at Police Training College Sihala in line with the professional expertise of the institution.
