I am also on same situation. Have got BPS-17 job in ministry of Defense and already working on good position in private sector. Not getting correct information from section officer and not from this forum about gross package and benefits hence confused to join.

I suggest if you are fresh then govt job is better; they might have some better packages and benefits than private sector on junior level positions.
