Morality and politics are antonyms in Pakistan. Besides, ordinary people of Pakistan (i.e. Awaam) are peasants--rather, slaves. And slaves don't decide the matters of masters. The elite class works and rules completely independent of the lower classes. It always amazes me that the people are so keen to discuss politics--be it talk shows or drawing room discussions--but the rulers on the other hand seem never to bother about average citizens. While the real issues that people should be discussing seem to get ignored all the time. For example the rising depravity, corruption and deteriorating morals of the society--these should be the issues for discussion. But sadly, we love to blabber on endlessly about the symptoms and ignore the underlying disease processes.
