Aoa,
Holding a newspaper and reading it especially for beginners is a tiresome process. I also have had this issue. But, you don't have to worry about it.
Follow this technique and In shaa ALLAH TALA you won't face any problem:
- First of all, you should start reading a newspaper from your point of interest like gossip, fashion, entertainment, and sports news etc. In this way, your interest will develop in reading.
- After some days, let's say a week, you will deliberately move towards the other sections of news.
- You just have to read first two pages and editorial completely. In the last, take a bird's eye view on international news. That's it ! Skip local news except if there is any hot issue. But, don't skip financial highlights and economic trends. It will take your maximum 30-40 minutes depending upon your proficiency over vocabulary.
- For basic English, any B.A level grammar book is enough to master parts of speech, tenses, narration, punctuation, preposition and active-passive voice. If you study the said things, you can get command over English in just couple of weeks. But, it requires hard work and sincerity from your side.
You have forgotten that CSS means (charh soli sonheya). One has to give his best irrespective of hurdles. Look, sickness is a part of life. As you are going to compete with the cream of nation so you are supposed to prepare well. Don't lose heart and work hard. Take sleep well and good care of your health. I hope it helps.
