It is a technical subject as compared to International Law. Being student of law myself i will recommend you to think twice. Examiner will not ask straight forward questions and, as i already said, it is a technical subject, you might not be able to satisfy the examiner without sufficient knowledge.

I will not discourage you but in our class this was the subject in which most of the students flunked. Difficult part is to remember different school of thoughts and their view which often mingle when you are attempting the paper.

Now you might pass this subject with a little preparation but when it comes to scoring you would definitely be in a better position to score if you opt Int Law.
So my final thoughts are that if you can put extra effort you can tackle it but if you are not a lawyer and have no background, it is more likely that you will suffer.

Regards,
