Default Revised Syllabus And Recommendations

Revised Syllabus And Recommendations

Dear Aspirants,

I am getting dozen ov emails on my account, asking for one single Book that can cover the entire subject in just one go. You people have to understand that you can not find each and every topic in just "One Single Book".

Not even Encyclopedia Provide all the answers in one single book, you have to go through 32 different volume ov Books for different answers.

Yes The Syllabus has changed, But i would again say that the Books that we were following previously are good enough to cover the entire Syllabus. But this time you have to divide the syllabus in Two Parts.

A) Historical Perspective

1. From Discovery to Advent ov Europeans (1492-1606)
2. USA as a British Colony (1606-1783).
3. USA as an Independent Country (183 - 1819)
4. Expansion of USA: From 13 to 50 States (1820 - 1949)
5. Constitution of the USA: Salient Features (Check and Balance in US Constitution)
6. Civil War (1850 - 1869)
7. Industrialization and its emergence as one of the world powers (1870 -1916)
8. USA’s role in the Two World Wars (i. 1914 – 1918, ii. 1939 - 1945)
9. American Role in Cold War and its emergence as the Sole super Power (1945 - 1990).
10. Progressive Era: Reforms of Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson,
11. The Great Depression and the New Deal
12. Civil Rights Movement
13. US Presidential Election
14. US Congress and its Mandate

Books for Historical Part ov Subject
  1. History ov USA by Majumdar
  2. A people’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn
  3. History ov USA by John J. NewMan
  4. Notes History ov USA By National Officers Academy Islamabad

-All these books are still good enough to cover all the historical topics which are mentioned in revised syllabus

C) Current Scenario

1. American Role in patronizing UNO and International Organizations 1945 – 2012
2. Post 1945 world scenario and emergence of USA and USSR as the Two World Powers.
3. International Concerns of USA: An Overview.
4. The War on Terror and the Role of Pakistan and USA (2001 - 2012)
5. Global perceptions of the USA.
6. United States Role in International Conflicts

Books for Current Scenario/US & World Relations
  1. Monthly Time Magazine by Jehnagir
  2. Quarterly Contemporary Affairs by Imtiaz Shahid
  3. Articles in Daily Dawn and Internet
  4. Group Discussion and Healthy Debates so that the Ideas can be exchanged

Recommended Books and Suggestions

Divide the subject in 2 parts and start your preparation from today, the 2nd part, if prepared well will also help you in Current Affairs paper. As this will give you a better understanding ov World Politics, US Policies, Pak-US Relations and its Implications.

Wish You All Very Best ov Luck and Good Bless.
