Drinking
....From the Sunnah of drinking is:
1. Pronounce the Tasmiyah, i.e. bismillaah (In the Name of Allah).
2. Drink with the right hand:
....O young man, mention the Name of Allah, eat with your right hand... (Muslim, The Book Of Drinks, Hadeeth 2022.)
....This Hadeeth does not explicitly mention drinking with the right hand. However, there is a narration of Muslim, on the authority of Ibn Umar (R.A.):
....When one of you eats, let him eat with right hand; and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand - because the Shaytaan eats and drinks with his left hand. Saheeh Muslim, The Book Of Drinks, Hadeeth 2020.
....Verily, Allah is pleased with the slave who eats his food and praises Him for it... and he who drinks and praises Him for it. (Muslim, The Book Of Drinks, Hadeeth 2734.)
