The political system decides the course of economic independence. Economics is neither a policy nor a system; it is a tool, which succeeds when successfully used by political powers .the world’s most reliable union of states, the European Union, is the natural result of the political stability of Europe. If the Europe had a failed political system like Middle East, it could never be united. Rich economies and higher GDP cannot solve the issue of national integration and inequality unless economy is regulated by a state to bring equality of opportunity and rights. The failure of politics makes impossible the success of any economic and social policy. The sufferings of underdeveloped states are not because their economic system fails; it is the outcome of the corrupt nature of their political systems. India, despite an expanding economy, fails in reducing poverty because it lacks the political will and a transparent system for the equal distribution of resources. The rise and falls of the nations are decided by their politics; the developed and powerful nations have strong and stable political system on which they erect the edifice of their social and economic progress. Political power defines success as well as the failure.

A. Politics was the decisive factor in the success of developed states.

1. The political steps of the Britain’s Whig party made the nation economically independent.
2. The pre- revolution slogan of USA was not economic independence but ‘first representation then taxation’; they demanded a representative political system which made them world’s biggest power.
3. Farsighted political diplomacy of the Western Europe led them towards the formation of the European Union.
4. The installation of a stable political system in Germany transformed it from a war-torn country to a leading economy of Europe.
5. China became potential world power only with its political determination.

B. T he failure of politics and not the economy leads to wars and terrorism.

1. Political instability in Middle East and resultant crisis
2. Economics failed to play a role in integrating South Asian nations.
3. The agonies of Afghanistan emanates from the political failure of state.

C. A stable political system is essential for holistic progress

1. Politics and not the economy define the rights regarding the distribution of resources and opportunities.
2. A functional political system regulates all the resources of state to bring progress.

3. Politics unites people of differing origins and races in the bond of nationalism; economy does not create nations.

D. Economics, without politics is a failure.

1. The failed economic policies of SAARC
2. Lack of political cohesion and failure of ECO
3. Political disintegration in ASEAN block results in economic fragmentation of society.

E .only a successful political apparatus ensures national and international peace and economic prosperity.

Conclusion
I don't understand, How POINT 2 in HEADING B is linked to the heading??????
