The political system decides the course of economic independence. Economics is neither a policy nor a system; it is a tool, which succeeds when successfully used by political powers .the world’s most reliable union of states, the European Union, is the natural result of the political stability of Europe. If the Europe had a failed political system like Middle East, it could never be united. Rich economies and higher GDP cannot solve the issue of national integration and inequality unless economy is regulated by a state to bring equality of opportunity and rights. The failure of politics makes impossible the success of any economic and social policy. The sufferings of underdeveloped states are not because their economic system fails; it is the outcome of the corrupt nature of their political systems. India, despite an expanding economy, fails in reducing poverty because it lacks the political will and a transparent system for the equal distribution of resources. The rise and falls of the nations are decided by their politics; the developed and powerful nations have strong and stable political system on which they erect the edifice of their social and economic progress. Political power defines success as well as the failure.
