1) INTRODUCTION

Thesis: Certainly, inaction on the issue of climate change would be costlier than action. Failure to address the issue of climate change would entail irreparable damages while addressing it would entail temporary setbacks on some socio-economic fronts

2) COSTS OF ADDRESSING THE ISSUE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
2.1) Cuts on carbon emissions would dampen economic growth( Example of BRICS)
(2.2) Hefty sums of money would be consumed in the pursuit of sustainability.
(2.3) Population associated with oil industry would suffer a great deal, temporarily.

(3) COSTS OF NOT ADDRESSING THE ISSUE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
(3.1) Damage to water sector
(3.2) Agricultural sector would receive a great blow
(3.3) Forestry sector would be harmed
(3.4) Public Health would suffer
(3.5) Damage to infrastructure
(3.6) Hydropower potential would be affected
(3.7) Threat to the existence of Climate Vulnerability Forum(CVF) and resulting mass migration

(4) WHY NOT ADDRESSING THE ISSUE OF CLIMATE CHANGE WOULD BE COSTLIER THAN ADDRESSING IT
(4.1) Addressing the issue would result a temporary setback to economic growth and would entail a change in priority. However, humans, as history has shown time and again, would adapt with the change with due course of time; and in the presence of technology, the adaptation wouldn't be hard.
(4.2) Failure to address the issue of climate change would entail irrevocable damages on the socio-economic and political fronts( as mentioned above)

(5) How should world collaborate in addressing this issue--Way forward
(5.1) Agreement reached in COP 21 should be relentlessly implemented
(5.2) Developed World should take the lead
(5.3) Research and Development in the domain of sustainability
(5.4) Kyoto Protocol and other agreements should be revised to suit the magnitude of contemporary challenges vis-a-vis climate change

(6) CONCLUSION
