Asslamulaikum,

With due respect, i want to make it clear, that the sentences that you have

made re-correct, i don't think so that in such a manner the first sentence is

correct, because, below are ur words.....

" I have to put down the baby while i swept the floor".

Here you have used, " swept", " in this sentence, "have to " may be

considered a structure it is not a past tense that you may use swept.
