There is a lot going on over how to answer the first question related to national power. This question was perhaps pretty straightforward. I answered it on following lines:

Definition of power - disputed concept..Relative power and relational power.
Explanation of power in Realist, Liberalist and Constructive paradigms
Ingredients of power (military, economic, geography....)..Don't remember all but Stephen Waltz has given 5 or 6 ingredients of national power.
Conclusion: How trends are shifting in contemporary politics. Is military power the only reflection of national power?
