Yeah, plus gender studies is headed in a very different direction than the paper's route.
In Western societies, for e.g, women have recently (last half-decade or so) been OVER-compensated due to their equality-related disputes. So much so that in some fields they receive a bias (undeserved), simply for being a woman.
I can cite many references and university studies but you can google them yourself.
Again, this is not to say that women are on par with men in every single society and field out there, or vice versa. The simple point here is that the paper was not about "
Gender", but rather only about "
Females" and hence the name of the subject should either be respected, or changed accordingly.
