These posts are purely for Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). As the Sindh Govt as well Police Department is facing seroius issue of lowest conviction rate in the ATA cases. In order to improve the modes of the investigation, Home Department has advertised these posts. You can see the Advertisement showing the Home Department inspite of Police Department. The officers who shall get appointment will deal the Anti Terrorism Cases specially Tahrek Taliban and other terrorist Organisations, 75% officers shall be posted within the jurisdiction of Karachi and remaining may get posting in the interior Sindh. Although these officers shall be the part of Sindh Police but not regular/District Police, even they shall not be posted as SHO. Meanwhile, a special package in terms of special allowance is admissible for their working capacity. Around Rs. 1,00,000 along with basic & special allowance will be given to all of them in respect of the monthly salary.
