Afghanistan is very hostile towards Pakistan from very beginning, it didn't recognize Pakistan a sovereign country in 1947. In 1948 it had opposed and cast negative vote at UN membership. I think Pakhtuns have serious reservations over Durand line which they don't accept as an international border, they claim Tribal areas and KP to be the part of Afghanistan. This is the game of increasing territorial boundaries
