Thanks for your response dear. Let me clear. Some departments of Pakistan still follow British grades. 2nd Lieutinent, lieutinent and caption are officers of grade 16. ASF Inspector and Deputy AD both are BPS-16 officers. Custom Asst Preventive officer, Preventive officer and supervising preventive officers are BPS-16 Officer. Senior Head Constable and ASI of Police are BPS-9 Officer. Besides. Pak Railways ASM and SM are same Grade Officer intially when ASM promotes to SM it does not change its grade while SM change Senior SM in BPS-14 and moreover it promotes to BPS-16 as SM of District Stations.
