I explained it under the Bolivarian Revolution as practiced by Hugo Chavez, Guavera and ofcaurse their inspirer --Fiedel Castre( my favorite politician),Do you know what he has done for venez. He nationalized the carcas wealth and he was price hawk in petro dollar politics. Revenues generated out of such revolutionary steps were spend on the social welfare of the people and more than that he nationalized the venez industries and different institutes. You can consult internet.
And for Greece its an optimal timing to do that cause its now at the verge of defaulting and even you know president Tsipra was elected because of his pro socialist approach.Unfortunately, like pakistani politicians he backed down from his promise.Greece is one the mediterranean euroatlantist state with having enormous wealth of natural resources. Moreover, there is billions of untapped potential economy in tourism,Which is unfortunately engulfed by corporate leeches.Have the government reverse the decision, trillion of dollars can be restored to Greece national bank without any doubt.Remember, world politics revolve around the economy.(since i've studied geography extensively thats why i can draw out more points out of it)
Ask me freely, if you have any further query.
Dear sister, I am currently living in Venezuela and my family has been here for more than a decade so I am very shocked to learn that people outside Venezuela actually think Chavez and his horrendous policies were good. Chavez's policies overall had a drastic impact on Venezuela's economy. His nationalization and price controls early on in his government caused a lot of bussiness owners to leave Venezuela for countries like Chile, Brazil and Colombia(I know this as a lot of our family friends did this too), this caused shortage of home produced goods so most of the things had to be imported but it wasn't a problem at the time because Venezuela had oil money. Chavez gave plenty of free stuff away to people which is very uncommon in the world as far as I know, this took a huge chunk out of the national reserves but again it was all fine due to oil money. Chavez in his time didn't even contemplate that the oil prices could drop and so he didn't develop any other significant industry in Venezuela, something which many of the other oil economies did to some extent.

So as soon as the pil prices dropped, Venezuela had nowhere to go, its main source of income was fried and the money to import things for people had to come out of federal reserves and since imports were so low, there were massive shortages of everything, from toilet papers to bread to every thing imaginable, add to that the massive corruption in government which Chavez didn't attempt to eliminate so as to not anger his supporters and massive benefits given to the army since Chavez's time, Venezuelan economy was basically in a grave spiral and is still in it today but the current government refuses to do anything as it is still rooted deep in Chavez's idiotic policies and believes everything is a western propaganda instead of realizing that their policies have starved the Venezuelan masses. Had it not been for Chavez, Venezuela might be an oil rich economy like the arab countries but his "Socialismo" has destroyed the country's economy.

So dear sister, it hurts a lot when someone who is sitting thousands of miles away from a country where the populace struggles to find a loaf of bread on a daily basis, describes the cause of such cataclysmic events as a good leader
