Default Provisional Selection
I submitted the claim proforma and got an email that I have been provisionally selected for the scholarship. Now the selected ones have to submit a long list documents.

I am unable to decide whether to go for the program or not. The terms and conditions are quite tough. Can someone from the previous batches or anyone having experience of such HEC scholarships answer the following queries:
  • Is there any job guarantee or do we have to secure jobs ourselves to complete the 5 year requirement of working in academia?
  • What about international conferences/research during the period?
  • Can one do freelancing while studying as we cannot have any other job?
  • What is the scope of doing PhD from Pakistan? What is the future of such scholars?
  • Is it worth leaving your job and give 8-9 years to the scheme?
