Aoa... I am writing this post to put my point of view on the table regarding the frequent remark that"this forum has become useless"
First of all i think that the probable reason for non responsiveness of seniors might be the posts like "hey everyone can someone give me sociology notes" This is wrong for three reasons. Firstly its most of the time impossible to share notes like that as they are in hard copy. Secondly, why do you think you deserve someones complete set of notes which he made after so much hard work. Thirdly, this forum is to help not to spoon feed you. You can always ask for guidance on topics and even for the text or material on the topic.But simply throwing one line on the forum n then lamenting that forum has lost its charm is wrong.
Second i think new comers should do a little research on the forum before posting a query. So that they don't repeat a query. This is also a reason for queries being left unanswered.
Thirdly, i think there should be a system of somewhat like notifications.So that if anyone posted in the same thread you posted, you get to know. Or you can activate notifications for certain thread. Also if someone mentions your name or addresses a query towards you, you immediately come to know.
This forum is a great source of knowledge and assistance for aspirants. It helped me alot. And it should continue to help.
