Selection Criteria in Askari Bank as MTO= 60% Reference and 40% merit. Along with merit one must have strong reference of some army Officer in the rank of Major General or above. However there will be rare cases of 100% merit

Actually I have gone through the whole process. I was among the toppers of the written test. I was offered as OGII in the initial interview by the HR Head Mr Riaz Khan Banghash at that time instead of Assistant Manager and it was also stated by him (on telephone) that there is a lot of pressure on him from for selection of some "referred" candidates. OGII of the Askari Bank is equivalent to the cleric of NBP/HBL etc. I joined there as OGII in 2007, got promoted and resigned last year.
