Yes there is no criteria because I was asked questions about marketing although my area of specialization is Finance.

You are right.. MCB really sucks... Me too an Engineer... I was interested to be a part of banking sector... I applied here just because they demanded People having finished their graduation only... But when I reached for Interview... They praised my Degree and excellent marks... They said, You have such a nice degree from such a great university then how will u stay here??? They were shocked after hearing my answers and confidence... but still they said you have a degree in Engineering... I asked them that why have you advertised this post for Graduates then?? why not to mention only Finance students....??? they had no answer... I am really astonished... what is their policy...???? why to cause a trouble for students having degrees other than finance??? WHYYYYYYYYY????????????????????????? Can anybody satisfy me then?????

mera intrview 26 ko tha 12 clock aur 4 clok ja k meri bari i then they asked me question about pure economics and finance althg i am a MBA HRM mje china aur india ki economy k abt question kiay itz really bad mje laga main kisi bewkof ko interview de ri thi mje buhat sehat gussa ara tha but smile face se nai jany di haan mere sath jo sbb se bra masla hoa k state bnk ov pakistan k gvrnr ka name aik dam se zehan se nikal just un unrelivnt questions ki waja se main he asked main hav u interst in research i said no mere pass tym ni hta us k bawjod intahai fazol question dats really nor fair yh zydati hai abb kya hum scolor bnn k betth jaen jin ko dunnia ki her cheez ka pata hna chaheay us bnde ka attitude yh tha k bibi mje tu itna kuch ata tmhain yh yh kuch ata hai huhhhhhhhh

hmmm...Guyz with questions like these I for one don't think that they were assessing our Academic Knowledge. May be they were just judging our personalities and how would we handle stress.

I am really sorry to say that you people are fools. If you are from engineering or what ever majors in MBa, they doesnt have anything to do with that. They can ask whatever they want. They dont want scholars, thats right....They were just assessing your personalities through these types of questions. My uncle was taking interviews at Pindi staff college. I asked him about all this and he replied, we just throw irritating questions and then check how the candidate behaves after that. Ab aap jo agay se un se puchne lag gae k aap ne advertise q kia blah blah, that wasnt the right answer. You should have proved k if you are from engineering, still you can contribute alot to banking sector. thats what they wanted from you. and MBA HRM se ho ya kisi mai bhi, I think you must have studied other courses too. If you say you dont, I think you have studied from a third class university....(Sorry to say that).... And they dont analyze you from right or wrong questions, they analyze you from your behavior when answering the questions and how you act in stress....

in my interview, I knew each and every question they asked me.....They kept on questioning and I kept on answering and when I came back to home, I counter checked my answers and all were 100% correct. But you know, i am still worried k mera name final list mai hoga k nae...and this is because I feel I made some little mistakes in my behavior.....So, MCB is one of the oldest bank of pakistan, and one of largest banks. So, they are not mad k unhon ne apko call ki thi....one of my friend who is engineer, but working in MCB in Karachi. So,..........I hope you understand my point.... MCB people does have criteria and they interview you for some reason and ask you difficult questions just to analyze you.....
