Bro, as per my info one can become joint director (og-4) within 8-10 years in SBOTS whereas in YPIP promotion is little slow, it may take upto 10-12 years.

Promotion is based on performance (good thing about SBP) one can be promoted in 2-4 years based on performance, otherwise you have to complete the required years.

You could not be more wrong about that. Although both SBOTS and YPIP have similar criteria for promotion, it is much faster in YPIP because you know SBOTS has been going on for a while and there are too many young people in the organization already.

The grades in SBP are more about hierarchy than about payscale. An OG-2 could be earning more than an OG-3 or OG-4 if he/she has good performance appraisals and the OG-3/OG-4 don't. However some other benefits do increase with grade such as car etc for OG-5.

As I have sent my application forms but didn't received any mail or text from ibp.

Yes, you are absolutely right. However, that does not always happen. By default, the passing criteria for individual sections is 60% and for overall test it is 65%. However, if candidates belonging to FATA, AJK, GB and other areas do not make it to the passing criteria, '''SBP''' (not IBP) will adjust the criteria for only the relevant candidates belonging from backward areas.

Promotions in YPIP are fast and steady whereas SBOTS encounter a lot of hurdles in promotions. An OG2, while recruited through SBOTS, will have to compete with the entire OG2 pool to secure a promotion grade (OG2 who are even 4-5 years senior than him/her). Feel free to contact any individual recruited through SBOTS in this regard.

YPIP OG2 pool is not that saturated yet and its initial offered salary its also greater than that of SBOTS OG2. This is a deliberate attempt to attract talented pool of individuals to SBP BSC and not SBP itself. However, the charm of working via SBOTS scheme (in SBP Karachi) has no match with the clerical based job of YPIP.
