|
i have also applied...
|
course material is
Since its basically talking about individuals from the field of Economics. The test might probably include mcqs and questions from Basic economics and pakistan economy. So a general suggestion is to go through the salient features of Economic survey of Pakistan. and go through the short summaries of each chapters of any Basic Economics Book.
There is questions i would like to ask ! Does this test also has a quantitative part ? If yes ! what could generally be included in it ? |
I have applied too.
From Baluchistan. |

Overall Test difficulty level
The test was quiet easy for SBOTS 2016 compared to the last test of YPIP. As far as I recall the last test, the english part was easy and the Quantitative part was beyond the moderate level .
In SBOTs test, the English part was comparatively tricky and the quantitative part was way to easy to be done. I am not sure if i will be in the merit list or not as I missed alot of questions at the end because of time management which is my own fault in this regard. Yet i was able to solve all math questions. And I was satisfied with the pattern of the test this time. Additionally, it had general knowledge questions , about Biggest, longest, smallest, currency, capital, recent agreement of Pak with other countries etc. So the General knowledge section was also not that tough at all. Good luck to everyone for SBOTS. |

Hi everyone. My name is Ahmad Mobeen. I'm from Rawalpindi. I found out about this forum recently and I must say that it's an amazing platform to share our experience with others and contribute to the welfare of the whole community.
I took the written test for Economic Analyst OG-2 and cleared it with 76 marks (23/30 English; 26/30 Quantitative; 27/40 Economics). It's been almost two weeks now since the result was announced and I'm wondering when the interview call ups would take place. Last I checked on the State Bank's official website (this evening), it was just stated that the interview for shortlisted candidates would be "held soon". No date was mentioned. If someone has any rough idea, it would be extremely helpful. Also, it would be great if other people who appeared in the test could share their experiences and marks, etc. This forum has been inactive for quite a long time now. Hey guys! Any updates regarding the interview?

Finally SBP updated its website! Karachi interviews are being held today and tomorrow (that is, 1st and 2nd of June, respectively), while call letters for Islamabad and Lahore will be issued shortly. If I have to guess, I'd say by next weekend, the whole process will be completed. Fingers crossed now! :-P

I hope that the interviews went well for the Karachi candidates. May Allah bless you all with success and happiness, Ameen.
How was the experience for you guys? The panel is usually very friendly. I hope that was the case this time as well. :-P Also, if anyone of you could share what kind of questions were asked, we'd be more than grateful. Thank you in advance. :-) Sent from my m1 note using Tapatalk |

Hey! All in all, there were 25 people listed for the interview, and my serial number was 4. The interview lasted for about ten minutes. First of all, they asked me about my interests, etc. Then, about my degree (duration, mode of study, the name of subjects I studied). After that, they asked me about the various exchange rate regimes. Fixed, floating, etc. Then they asked me about the effects of real exchange rate appreciation. And how real exchange rate varies from nominal exchange rate. After that, they asked me about the differences between Keynesian and classical economics. Then, they asked what kind of tools do central banks have to implement their desired policy. As for as my performance is concerned, it was good, though not very good. Initially I was very nervous and it was quite evident but as time passed, I became relaxed and fluent. All the questions they asked, Alhamdulillah I answered them correctly, I think. However, they asked me if I had studied the course "econometrics". I unfortunately hadn't. And they were visibly disturbed by this fact. There were four people in the panel. All were very friendly. One of them was most definitely a psychologist. Soo, that's it. Hoping for the best, now. Inshah Allah. Sent from my m1 note using Tapatalk |

Walaekumsalam! There's no official announcement yet, but the offer letters will be issued before Eid, that's for sure. There's also a rumor that the process may start this coming Monday. Sent from my m1 note using Tapatalk |
