All of you should have one thing v clear in minds, that is the cut through t competition ... Start your preparation right now , the format that they have given in adv may not be followed in the test as it was happened in the last test conducted in 2009.

The format was just like gat, there were no current affairs.
Test consists of three sections
1english 30 marks( antonyms synonyms, blanks etc)
2analytical reasoning's 40 marks
3and math 30 marks
and that test was very tough. So be clear in all respect.. And it is one of the best job.

All the best...........

Cut-throat competition is not a bad thing, I mean come on, after attaining 16-years of education and you still end up giving a 'competitive' exam on scale of what NTS took on behalf of HBFC.

In my opinion, by saying the test will be on GMAT/GRE format NTS simply disregards ETS

Assalam alaikum everyone

i was hired as a junior executive in 2009 at secp.
At that time they offered 30,000 then after 6 months, the salary scale was revised and the minimum /starting salary for junior executive was 38,000 so hopefully all the new candidates will be hired at 38,000.

Last time 27 people were hired from all over Pakistan and were posted in different cities.

Let me clear all of you 1 thing, the test was extremely difficult last time.. even i got 54 marks out of 100 and was selected.

Last time after the test, two interviews were conducted. First one was the panel interview and the second one was taken by the chairman.

But 4 months ago, i left SECP and joined NBP as an MTO.

dear muhammad adnan thanks for sharing valuable information.

please share why you left the SECP and join NBP? what perk and privileges are provided for this job? what are the future prospects for this job? after selection you have to sign the service bond or you can resign any time? training period after selection? duty timings?

please answer all questions

Muhammad Adnan Malik Monday, October 31, 2011 11:50 PM

@ ZAKARIYAN01:

Actually the main reason to left SECP was my personal interest in banking. Further i was posted in Insurance division and i was not at all interested in insurance that was the main reason to leave SECP. Some other benefits for the jobs are provident fund, gratuity, earned leaves, 2 days off, medical for self and family. As far as future prospects, usually a junior executive is promoted to asst director within 3 years. Last time only 1 month prior notice was required to leave the job, no service bond, but no idea about this year policy. Duty timings are 8:30 to 5:30 (monday to thursday) and on friday 8:30 to 4:30, saturday sunday off.

probation period is of 6 months, you can say its your training period, but it depends on the departmental head, what is his desire, because in different divisions, candidates were assigned different tasks but people who were posted in Insurance Division, their departmental head sent all the candidates to different insurance companies for 1 month training.

Last time the test composition was:

English 30
maths 30
logical reasoning 40

In maths, the questions were of permutation and probability, words problem, algebra.
In english, passage with question answer, sentence correction, sentence completion.
Logical reasoning was the most difficult one, different cases were given and on each case there was 5 questions.

Caravan's Aptitude Tests is the best book.Prepare General Knowledge,Islamic Studies,Pakistan Studies,Current Affairs and IQ from this book. Also keep one thing in mind that that the test can be based on GAT General because as mentioned earlier by a member last year test was based on GAT general format.
This is the best book.
