Why Poor Grades

This is not the first time i am complaining of getting low marks, since my bachelor i am very serious and determined in studies despite well preparation and attempting required questions in a nice way I have not brought good grades, and the same happened to me in CE 2016. It has now become an agony for me, What you guys think that what could be possible reasons of attaining low grades?

May be you do not clearly understand whats being asked in the question,and thats the problem of many candidates.
So try to completely understand the questions 1st and then go for it.
No over writing no irrelevant stuff only to expand your question.Be specific even if you write one page and its to the point and relevent,will earn you more marks than writing 3,4 pages that includes irrelevant material.
