Default Confusion about Political Science

AoA,
I need advice from the respected members. Here is the problem

In my first attempt I opted for sociology and accounting, but since the paper of accounting did not go as I wanted it to, I am going to change my subjects. Now, either I can chose journalism with sociology or political science.

I am interested in political science, since it appears interesting and I feel it can help in overall understanding of issues, ultimately lead to better analysis which is the major requirement in all papers especially current affairs paper.

On the other hand, sociology and journalism are considered easy subjects since they are less time consuming, since my major issue is time and I have read sociology already. While people consider political science more time consuming and less scoring. So I am confused a bit, please guide me with your precious suggestions.

at Sulmanpk ,

I was also suffering from same predicament two years ago. However I experienced people of diverse backgrounds giving mixed opinions regarding above anamoly. In my case I decided to take political science and have appeared in ce 2011 with political science.
As for my experience of political science goes,I found it a very good choice. It helped me in many ways.
Political science is a vast subject with many advantages as well as disadvantages.Advantages certainly exceeds disadvantages, according to me.Chief advantage is that u can also opt for constitutional law which is very similiar to political science paper 2.Indepth study of political philosophers and political systems of various countries bring a sublime maturity in ur thoughts and expression, which helps in almost all papers. On the other hand when we talk of disadvantages, for me there is no such thing as disadvantage of opting a paricular subject,However,we learn from the past experiences of aspirants that examiner is not too generous in marking political science. While Journalism and Sociology as independent subject can beg more marks than political science, thus its a low scoring subject with fpsc checking policy. In my case,I believe in hardwork and complete grasp of subject.According to me if u WRITE well u will get marks.BUT MANY PEOPLE dont accept this notion, they believe in low and high scoring trend of particular subjects. They have sort of invented theory of high and low scoring.According to their theory, pol science is low scoring.
Therefore in aforesaid scenario,i suggest u to be very cautious before making this choice. If u think u have good aptitude to impress examiner in pol science paper, then,u must go for it.However,if u r non believer of scoring and non scoring theory, again decision is urs.Our job is to portray the things as they are.In short its all about ur own believe, capability, potential and aptitude before choosing any subject.
