RULE: In the case of in Service Government Servants, who possess a minimum of two years continuous Government service as on first January, 2012, the upper age limit is relaxable by two years up to the age of 30 years

a single day gap in service or between two jobs, renders one ineligible to claim age relaxation. so what i have understood from ur post is, that person might not be eligible if he doesnot have two years continuous service in his current job. |
@ marilatif
it is not single day gap that will make you ineligible but it it is only one month salary gap in your payroll that matters. i personally know two persons who are now CSP officers and both of them claimed age relaxation and they were given age relaxation despite two days gap. |

Secondly is it not ambiguous when the pay protection is offered to the employees of autonomous bodies adopting BPS while applying through proper channel whereas age relaxation is not allowed. Secondly is it not ambiguous when the pay protection is offered to the employees of autonomous bodies adopting BPS while applying through proper channel whereas age relaxation is not allowed. Regards
Dear only pay is not the issue with the autonomous bodies/organizations. An autonomous body is taken as an independent unit within government structure, having its own policies /procedures to run its affairs to meet its objectives/goals, generating its own funds, recruiting its own personnel etc. They follow their own structure. Perks and privileges are not linked only with following BPS pay system, there are lot of other things say hospitalization/medical facilities, fringe/special allowances, honorariums, transportation/vehicles, promotions, foreign tours/trips etc etc. And logic, I dont know. But perhaps they do not work under government and government rules are not fully applicable to them may be as such they have such rules... There are many instances that while following BPS pay system, many autonomous bodies have other allowances which are greater to normal civil servants. As regards pay protection, dear it has been ruling by the government that a person cannot be given pay/conditions less favourable to which he was already taking. On this basis, the pay is adjusted to accommodate the persons coming from autonomous bodies.
one more question, this age relaxation is not allowed to employees of autonomous bodies either for CSS or all other jobs through FPSC.
