How was it different? I don't see any difference regarding pattern other than a change of paper to being more general.

pattern of islamiate has not changed
all the questions were from syllabus in 2012
moreover 7+ mcq's were from the last ten surah's translation

The paper pattern rarely changes for CSS examination. It has been the same for many years

Pattern of 2012 paper and 2011 paper was quite similar. 2012 Islamiat paper carried more choices in subjective portion, in which general questions and syllabus related questions were both present....A few "MCQs" were asked on 'last ten surah translations and specific word meanings'. you can check the paper of 2012.

If ur question is specifically related to 'last ten surahs and their compulsory translations question', which used to be there previously, i think this question will not be asked, as it has not been coming in past few years....

Asslaam o Alaikum

Islamiat pattern was somehow different in 2012 and
thora sa difference he create kya ja skta ha na

The subjective portion had option of 5/10 questions
Ans Quranic verses and words were used in MCQS.

Quranic words ki wja sy MCQS kafi asaan ho gye hain
and if this pattern goes on,then islamiat paper me pass hona kafi asaan ho jaye ga

Almost pattern in every other paper in CE2012 was maneuvered. I wish they keep it for CE 2013 as well, But Precis and Composition marking should be revised to CE 2010
