Default Is CSS a dead horse ?

First let me make it clear to you that I have a penchant desire to join the elite group of CSS Pro's for some specific reasons. However, lately I have been receiving very negative comments from elders and 'professionals' of industry about opting for this job. Though I won't succumb to their advice but just for the sake of an enlightening discussion, I would really want your opinions on this.

Many opine that CSS is a dead horse for creative people. It blocks your creative outlet and you remain a slave of an administration with nothing constructive output on your own side. As your life progresses you are absorbed further into the wheel of this system and as retirement nears, you have achieved nothing in life. Many extraordinary people who can be Artists, spectacular Scientists, Doctors and Visionaries destroy their professional lives by joining CSS who rather be of value to Pakistan pretty more than they are in CSS.

Waiting for sincere viewpoints on this !

You can be a sheep CSP or a wolf, but you cannot be a lion while in the services. However this does not mean your creativity dies. You can still pursue other interests as a CSP. I have seen both ends of the spectrum. Depends entirely on you.
