css and nepotism
 

I heard from a number of reasonable people that it is necessary to have some strong back or some kind of heavy reference to enter in bureaucracy field through CSS.. If you don't have any reference or you are not from elite class than it is almost impossible for you to clear all the process.. if you clear CSS written exam (which is not a big issues anyways) they will screwed you in interview or medical but never declare you perfect for seat.. I want to know the actual figures regarding CSS transparency.. is it true, if so than upto which extent?? is there any merit or place for ordinary class people or not.. I want to know ground realities, so I can decide weather try for it or not.. because in my opinion if there is no chance for ordinary class than it is better to chose some other field despite wasting time for nothing.. kindly guide me regarding my doubts.. because I am really interested in joining bureaucracy but I'm also not in the favour of time wastage. thanks

No, It is completely wrong, there is pure merit in FPSC CSS exam, every year many Poor candidate pass css without any reference and nepotism, ISSB and css is the only procedure of recruitment system in Pakistan, where everything is on pure merit

No, it's not like that! This competitive exam is the only exam in Pakistan which is more than transparent, just like ISSB as sincer khan said above.

i disagree with your opinion that ISSB is transparent process. if you are the son of any officer serving or retired or have any source in ISSB Then you are selected.reference and background is preferred. And in very rare cases the ordinary peoples are selected. but the over all process of ISSB is based on nepotism.

Sorry for disagreeing with you, but it's not like the way you described. If you fulfill the criteria of ISSB then you will get selected. I have seen many examples in my life, even one of my friend was selected in Army having no one prior of him had served in any force.

and hundred of my friends are serving in army as officer and they have no background of army, if you are psychologically fit for army, you will be selected, otherwise hundred of brigadiers, colonel/major son has been rejected. army is only institute of Pakistan where value of talent is matter. a second rank leftain become general through his own talent,

Dear in issb maximum officer's belonging get selected and it is reality that nepotism in ISSB is common and it is also true that nepotism in FPSC is little bit but not at all.
Mostly candidate from backward areas and poor family got selected .
It all depends upon your preparation ,hard working and God gifted skills.
By hard working you will snatch your desired allocation .

ISSB Process
 

Inspired to tell you my side of the story,I vouch that I appeared in PMA-125 Long Course. After clearing all stages, in Interview the guy Heading the Panel asked at end;
"Have you any DIRECT relationing Officer of minimum Colonel level in PAK ARMY.
I said NO
"You CANNOT join Pak Army." He said
meaning that Dont bother to apply again
