2nd CSS attempt
Assalam u Alaikum
I had been a senior member and a staunch user of this forum between the years 2012 and 2015. I appeared in CE15 but failed in English Essay. Now I have decided to reappear in the exams in the year 2019 for the second time with more assiduity and passion. However, I am currently doing a job in a private company and could only give as much as 5 hours to my study. Keeping in view the time left to appear for the next exam, I have chosen 4 those subjects which I opted for in my previous exam. Optionals: International Relations (new subject), Public Administration, American History, Sociology, Constitutional Law. Now I need much guidance from your side regarding techniques that should be opted for preparing for the subjects in a comprehensive way in the remaining months. Should I first go for compulsory subjects or start with optionals? Secondly, would the chosen subjects directly affect groups/services? Feasible suggestions would be appreciated. |

Is anyone able to spend 5 or fewer minutes in replying to this thread? I do not understand why despite a cascade of people here seeing thread do not bother to reply.

brother if you are opting IR then its my advice to go for IL instead of CL as they make good combination together rest is upon your own interest. now come to the point. 5 hours daily study is more then enough to crack any exam... mean ANY..!! 1 thing which matters most is how you are handling your subjects and analytical skills. start from essay writing and practice writing intro on daily basis, for this purpose you could pick any topic of your choice from past papers. this practice will take no more than 1 hour in start and soon this 1 hour will be reduced to half. read newspaper and jolt down relevant notes especially from articles which seems you relevant.

as far as my own point of view is concerned, you should take both compulsory and optional side by side. and try your best to cover whole syllabus before or untill mid of nov. in rest of the time just keep on revising and practicing past papers, but never forget to update yourself about current affairs,
