Default Info about Leave without pay

I want to ask that is it possible to get leave without pay for about 6 months when one is a fresher and on probation? I m serving as patrol officer and want to prepare for CSS aswell, but, my job is tough.. i can't focus on studies. Kindly assist me in this regard! Thanks
