Afzal khan is on a distinguished road
Default why usually general is the head of FPSC

A.A Is it not quite amazing that mostly a retired general from army is the head of fpsc who is to select persons for civil posts not for army.

@ Afzal khan

Dear bro !
As long as one performs his/her duty with honesty & dedication --- it doesn't matter whether he belongs to cadre(CSPs), non-cadre or military service. It is (also quite an amazing) factor that the corruption in WAPDA declined rapidly after a General was given its charge. You may see the functioning of NADRA under the military establishment --- recruitment on merit & discipline in that state entity. Or may take example of NHA as 4 of its 7 chairman was from Military and it performed really well. Or take example of UET LAhore .... almost a decade back the administration head was from pak army then and after a long time the batches of BE graduated on time afterwards.
So as long as one performs his/her duties assinged to it very well & with honesty and dignity --- it doesn't matter to which service they belong.

And let me tell you dear bro that the men/women in Pakistan Army(Armed forces of Pakistan-PAF, Pak Army, Pak Navy) give there today for our tomorrow. They guard the borders of our homeland sleepless in night so that we may sleep safe & sound. They give there lives & blood for our dearest homeland Pakistan so that rest of us may live happily.

Let me tell you a case for example.... When Gen Retd Pervaiz Mushharaf was DGMO once he visited a base camp of Pak Army which was for logistics & food supply to Siachin border posts at Siachin Glacier. The whether was not favorable for helicoptor to go for food & amunition supply to the barracks at Siachin point...... he said:- "Who 'll fly with me......." --- A Capt. (at that time) of Army Aviation... raised his hand & in the heavy snowfall with fast wind blowing that flight become possible & Gen flew with that mission & met the men at the border.

If you ever get some time free from your daily schedule visit sometime PMA Kakul..... you'll not find a single gentleman cadet GC there who is not willing to give his life for the dear homeland whenever required.

And its an accepted principle that you may find good or bad people in every category either civil or military or otherwise the common man(business man , landlord a retailer etc.). So, perhaps, it may not sound wise to blame the whole institution because of few bad elements in that broad category.

To make this nation & to make this country ... "ONe of the greatest nations of the world".... we must learn to live together. And be proud of our civil service as well as armed forces of Pakistan; and try not to critisize or hit the institution but the elements in that broad category.

And as far as the General appointment matter in FPSC is concerned.... do meet some commoners in the last 8 years or so & ask them about the personality of the present Chairman or the previous one from Pak Army..... I hope you may not be able to find a single CSP who'll doubt these gentlemen about there honesty. Also, you may share there experience when they are posted on military attachment after their CTP---- !!!

Dear bro, some wise once said: You cannot see the picture until you are inside the frame. Its time to thing at 'marco' level for the good of the nation rather than to pin point the 'micro' factors at large.

If any of my words annoyed anyone.... then excuse in advance..NO offense to anyone.

best regards,
yours very sincerely & respectfully,
Noman !
