Default How Should I Proceed for the Preparation ? I don' have Finance for Coaching.

Dear Friend's

I don't have enough finance to join Academy or Coaching. I have to Prepare on personal perception . and it seems to be having no other choice ! I would be really glad to listen suggestions about the schedule that would be beneficial for me to follow in this case.

I am Planning to Appear in 2013 Examination.

Thanks in Advance.

brother there is no need of money. you can buy a few books or join any library for that purpose. qaied e azam library in jinnah bagh is the best known library where you can find every book and every newspaper plus magazines which are recommended for css.

moreover, there is no need to join any academy. infact they are wastage of money and time. so better avoid them. cssforum is the best academy. you can give an hour or two to this forum and get guidance from here. a handful of people will come forward and help you in every possible way.

about time table, dear if you want to appear in 2013, then better to give more time to your studies. cause time is quite short and you need to cover almost twelve subjects. if you are not doing any job then give all your time (around eight to ten hours) to your preparation.

regards

academies are wastage of time and money(in my opinion ),so work hard by yourself
1st finalise your optional subjects, after that collect material and try to make your own notes,it will really help you..

I second sir Marilatif. It is your own will and determination that lead you to success. Academies do not serve that purpose, they just guide us to some extent. So, it is not a problem at all, if one is not having access to them. What is most needed is the better management of time and full concentration upon your studies. Exclude it entirely from your mind that without having academic help, you are not able to attain success. It is not so. Just engrossed all your attention in your preparation. You can get all necessary and relevant information about css here on this forum...

Can any one tell me the dates of the exam?? How much time is remaining ?? and how from where I can gather data for optional subjects such as Geography and Islamic Culture , throw in Sociology as well..

a few good books mite help!

dear exam will commence in February next year. so around four and half month to go.

if you working full time then try to study at evening and early morning for at least two hours. morning study will be greatly helpful for you.

about motivation, meet some CSPs in their offices. they will be a great source of inspiration for you. moreover, read perks and privileges of each group here at forum. that will also help you to be motivated in your studies. also visit the forum regularly. hopefully it will bring a dramatic change in your mood and motivation level.

regards

miss i used to study almost eight to ten hours. sometimes even more than that. near exams i did not go even out of my room. it took almost two to three years for me to get fully prepared for the exam.

preparation strategy was quite simple. i read Dawn newspaper regularly. pointed out facts and figures from relevant articles about different issues and memorized them. then wrote those articles in my own words, especially in precise format. besides newspapers i also read magazines like times and newsweek. they are also helpful for current affairs.

for islamiat, again Friday features of Dawn which come on friday, were the basic sources of my preparation. moreover, O level book by Rakhshanda noor is a very good book on basic concepts of islamiat.

for other papers, i got different books, like high school english grammar and composition by wren and martin and exploring the word of english.

moreover, i had a teacher of english, whom i regularly visited for english and got my write up checked from him. so he was a great source of my improvement in all the papers, particularly english essay and composition.

regards

well dear abbasi
money does not matter a lot in css prep.
just buy some good books(not very costly)
join some library as sir marri said, from there you can get books and a variety of newspapers.
many seniors have uploaded their notes on this forum, get help from these.

start immediately, time is short.

remeber dear "no hurdle matters if you are determined".

start by reading for 3-4 hours, then extend your time.
make short notes for revision.
prepare current affairs from Dawn.

regards
