Q 7. Which notes should we follow ?

Always prepare own notes. It is extemely important that you make notes for all the subjects except Essay and English. It has two reasons , Firstly your material / notes will have discrimination beside other`s material. It will gain the interest of checker. Secondly all the syllabus will be well reflected because u ll have studied it before. It will make easier your reading. Always prepare concised notes, It has clear reason that u will have 3 hours to answer 10 questions. Moreover concise notes reveal all the aspects in few words . for example : if u write many paragraphs checker will sign single mark to a paragraph. Where as , if u describe point wise , checker will sign for each point separately.

Q 8. How to accumulate material for notes ?

you will need to research your topic thoroughly to find information . Use each of these three methods.

1. Personal experience : use the knowledge u already have on the topic
2. Reading : use information found in books , magazines and pamphlets from the library and the internet
3. Interview & inquiry : ask question of people who know about the topic.
1. how improtant is writing? it should clear and understandable or good?
2. what is the max age limit?
Astonishing writing skills play very crucial role in the race of CSS. Equivocal writing will not only marred your throughts but also arise doubts of your imperfectness. Consequently aspirants are suggested to write simple and through language devoid of attempting like a foolhardy.

The maximum age limit of attempting CSS is 28 years. Whereas it is calculated by the month of janruary.

Take care,

AoA

welcome to the forum. The ideal situation would be that start a subject finish it and then move on to the next one. Studying 2-3 subjects at a time only confuses a candidates. If you want to study more than one subject at a time then perhaps you should start preparing English along with your selected subjects.

As you have a lot of time before Css 2010, i would suggest that you start with Compulsory subjects. After completing them you can move on to your optional subjects. But remember to revise your compulsory subjects along with your optional subjects.

guide me

Asalam o Alaikum

I new to ths forum.

I m doing my Bachelor's and its my last semester.

I have confusion, in rules and regulations it is mentioned that canditate should not have D grade in semester system study.

I want to ask is it for cumulative GPA or individual subjects?
i.e candidate should not have D in any of studied subjects.

umarabbas Friday, February 26, 2010 04:27 PM

@dasht...

my CGPA is 2.5 and i had plenty of D's in my bachelors mashallah :sad ....the D mentioned here is an overall D...not a D in any individual subject....and D normally stands for 3rd division....so if you have your bachelors in 3rd Division you are not eligible then....i have done bachelors in engineering and you don't get a 3rd Division Engineering Degree at all..!!

1.totle number of seats for karachi candidate?
W-Salam,

It is not exact, changes from year to year according to the demand and requirement of government.
2.i have heard that all the seats dont get filled every year?
Yes, sometimes seats remain vacant due to the non availability of candidates. Usually all the candidates from Sindh rural and urban who pass written exam are allocated.
3.can i opt a subject for optional that i have no previous knoledge?e.g m.sc in biology opted maths?
It depends on one's aptitude, if you cover that subject then you can opt. Rules don't forbade you to opt subject of your choice.
4.do your selected subjects have influence on group to be allotted?
No.
5.what subjects should i opt for foreign office?
You should opt subject of your own choice and you have to score well in the exam to be allocated in desired group. Subjects have no affect on allocation rather it is score which can guarantee allocation in good group.
