Indo Pak Tips
assalam o alaikum
i am salman khalid i am studying indo pak but having few problems . so please guide 1. What type of ques i should prepare? should i prepare all the expeditions under every king?? this type of question is very difficult. its hard to remember all the names of cities which were conqured as their are soo many rulers. 2. or should i just prepare character sketch of the kings and the way of life that prevailed under every king?? 3. also last year (2008) 4 ques were just related to MUGHAL rulers. so does it happen every time or this time it was just exception as if some1 has perpared mughal period well he or she can easily score good marks. |

For every personality, typical things are important from examination point of view, you can check these important aspects of every ruler by analyzing past papers. For instance, for Aurangzaib Alamgir his war for the succession of throne, For Akber his religious policy, his important reforms and policy towards Bengal, For Sher Shah and Alauddin Khilji thier administrative and economic reforms, for Balban and Iltimish, consolidation of their empire are important aspects from point of view. It is better to prepare these important aspects in details, and just touch other things. I hope these examples will give you idea what to lay emphasis on.
You are right some time 3-4 questions come only from Mughals, but this is not always the case. In my opinion you should cover M.B. Qasim, Mahmood Ghazni, Iltimush, Balaban, Muhammad Bin Tughluq and in mughals, Babar, Akber, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzaib Alamgir. Besides that do cover salient features of the Mughal and Sultanatate of Delhi's period. If you cover above mentioned topics, i am quite sure you'll be able to attempt atleast 6-7 qs in your paper. Wish you best of luck.
