Hi Madam Amubarak
Congratulations on achieving success in CSS Examination.
It's so nice of you that you are sharing your first-hand experience.
Could you please share your academic background, your schooling and college majors ? This helps redears to compare their mental setting with yours. Secondly, after MS Psychology from PU , did you practice psychology. If yes, in what position?
Thanks a lot.

My Experience

AOA
well guys i want to share my experience appearing in the exam
first i dont know what would be the result and second i want to share some thing
this is the exam of our approach
try to read general books like reader's digest, news papers and off course solve grammer portion of past precis paprs
the exam consist of daily 6 hrs and
we have to plan for the daily 3 hr timer
many candidates couldnt understand the meaning of those 3 hrs including me
be relax in exams and then try to understand the question in every subject what they r asking then if u think u have relevent approach abt the question then answer
length does nt matter i think but material matters

For CSS preparation Gerrig and Zimbardo is the best, you can prepare a lot of chapters from it including psychological disorders and therapies. Feldman is better than Morgan; but if you are getting Gerrig and Zimbardo then dont get Feldman.
Morgan is helpful in prepraring for chapters on perception, emotions and motivation.

Is dere any questioning in interview from physical geography section??(I mean technical terms like various landforms other than general knowledge related to geography)

Plus as paper checker is a seasoned geography professor, do we have to produce exact n detailed diagrams n Maps or the one just giving an idea r sufficient. More specifically for instance while mentioning different crops producing areas i drew a rough world map to show regions of wheat production nd may be i was not too cautious to make sure that how much area of S.America should be shown above equator. Do issues like these matter??

In my interview they asked me one question on geograpy: if russia was a neighbour of Pakistan. I had trouble digesting the simplicity of it. I dont think they go into details for geography, general knowledge should do.
A lot of interview questions depends on the mood of interviewers, your number for interview that day, the performance of the candidate who've been interviewed before you and so on.
physical geogprahy is about facts and if you can draw neat diagrams thats an added bonus, i dont think it should make a very big difference if u didnt place equator running exactly through northern brazil...but i hope you didnt draw the line through southern argentina

I too am worried over the issue u raised that when u appear before the interview panel after say 500 candidate has already expressed his views before the panel. Now as at least half the questions they asked u r repeated time n again to various candidates nd it really becomes tough to present something entirely new which no one earlier has said.
Don't u think that this gives an unfair advantage to the persons appearing earlier n do the panel members take this thing into account????

Ney it certainly wasn't that much displaced:pp. As i was short of tym n never have been good with drawing so i guess it may be passing through southern trip of Brazil but not any further down
