Default for impossible

dear if u deeply note the points then u will find ur answer
to find best decision first of all u analyze the situation, give arguments in favour of particular decision and note the points on paper ,then give arguments against the decision and note the points ,now become neutral and analyse the situation and note the points ,then compare these points and compare alternatives in ur mind and then find the best decision

I totally agree with you on first statement that nothing is calculated in life. But in my opinion decisions shouldn't be kept on luck. Instead our decisions should be flexible, not rigid. Flexibility in decisions helps us to cope with the upcoming uncertain situations. But flexibility doesn't mean frequent changes in decisions. It means to ensure the availibility of alternatives.

One should not conflict the determination with a rigid decision. Determination is a broad term which results in achieving one's goals using possible alternatives while rigid decisions hurdle the way towards goal by emphasizing only on a single procedure.

Hope others will add some more to the discussion.

Wink Flexible decisions

If someone tells you he is going to make "a realistic decision," you immediately understand that he has resolved to do something bad.

Mary McCarthy

I totally agree that decisions should be flexible otherwise they will be a hurdle on the way of success.

Salam

i think different cases could be observed on the way to success...every person has different opportunities..
sometimes we make a plan and situation also favours us....i mean everything is quite supportive for us then the point highlighted by Zaman is Okay..here we should focus on our best and the best alternative.
But sometimes inspite of our lots of efforts a well judged decision may not prove very effective so immediately take another decision....
and sometimes some factors cause difficulties and hindrance so there should be flexbility in our decisions..Now the horizon is very vast.there r so many fields .we can have opportunity to show outstanding performance in any field...
