@ Zoee..Use Jourmalism for all,Emporium 20 questions and some good notes you can get your hands on for Journalism..For Sociology I guess Horton and Hunt plus A.H.Tagga's book should be enough..Same goes for you Farhad..Make short notes in points format.For Social Scientists also you would need some good notes,which are available at University photocopy shops..As for an academy,join any academy you want,but just for guidance and nothing else.For a month or so.Academies don't teach you.

Thumbs up Current Affairs

First of all Thanks Hamza Bhai , great tips.
I want to appear in 2013. I am concerned about current affairs a little bit, can't get an idea which topics to follow so that i can have a small version of 'scrap book' . Can you enlist a couple of CA topics (2012) so that i can have an idea about which direction to follow. I better ask you rather than wasting time my time on irrelevant topics.
your contributions will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

regards

Default Hamza sir, please critically evaluate my expansion. Positively waiting for your reply

Future can never be predicted with perfect accuracy but it can be gauged by considering certain parameters. The similar reality is substantiated by the adage which implies that the personality of an individual can be envisaged by a cursory glance over his childhood. The personality of an adult is simply a product of traits and characteristics he exhibits in his younger age. His attributes are often the developments of the features he had when he was a child. As Milton has aptly pronounced, “The child shows the man, As morning shows the day”. Most of the qualities, be it physical, mental and social, ripe with the passage of time and are manifested in mature form in adulthood. It seems true that a child with positive traits and habits will emerge as a constructive member of the society while a child with negative predispositions will prove a curse in social terms.
The history bear witness to the fact, the childhood preferences and inclinations determine the man of future, by having many such personalities in its annals. Hazrat Muhammad (P. B. U. H), a great reformer, who changed the map of the world with his revolutionary thoughts, was equally a man of generosity and high acumen in his childhood. Similarly, Adolf Hitler harbored a stubborn child himself and he emerged as the most cruel man in the cosmos. Titian, an eminent Turkish artist, is another epitome of it. But the maxim does not always stand true and the existence of exception can never be denied.
In a nutshell, the childhood is a crucial phase of life and it must be dealt carefully on the part of the parents as it paves the way for future personality. The parents must pay heed to the temporal and moral training of the child to make him a productive organ of the society.

Yes, you should make short notes, sort of bullet or point-form. Avoid making lengthy notes.

@ Mr. Hamza Salik and @ Red Max
A. A Sir I want to ask you both, about my subject selection. My subjects in 2011 were
Arabic
Islamic history
Muslim law
Journalism
and their scores were 142 in Arabic, 118 in history, 63 in journalism and 50 in Muslim law, should I change Muslim law for my next attempt or not? Opting sociology would be a good idea or not? For history @ Red Max your notes were quite helpful, I am fail in essay, kindly suggest me how to prepare it, I am from Lahore, should I take coaching from any teacher and if yes than from whom? And kindly give me a suggestion for current affairs and pak affairs too, how to score good in these both subjects, which books should I consult etc. and sir (Mr. Hamza Salik and Mr. Red Max) kindly give me your mail addresses too for future correspondence and consultation.
Best and warmest regards

@Zindagi

What is the topic of you expansion?How am I supposed to know whether you have written according to it or not?Other than that,it is a nice expansion.The expression is good,and vocabulary is ample too..

@Kal3m

You have scored well in Arabic and well enough in Is.History and Journalism.Muslim Law seems to be a problem.It isn't a very low scoring subject,but the trend seems to be downwards..Try replacing it with any regional language or sociology.

@Sonia

Yes,as pointed out by redmax,you better go for short notes.

@Attia,

Yes I think I can remember you vaguely..Thank you.The Current Affair topics would largely be the same as I told you in academy.The conventional topics but with more emphasis on the current developments,rather than the historical perspective.Same is the case with essays.Women affairs,terrorism,governance issues in Pakistan,Social issues in Pakistan and economic issues.You should prepare at length the wide topics you chose for essay,and they need not be more than 4 or 5..Best of luck for your attempt.
