In the following lines, I would try to give you whatever little knowledge and experience I've gathered during my prep. Hope it helps. In return of it, all you have to do is to pray for me. 1) English Essay: The Trick: Read unstoppably and untiringly. Newspapers, Magazines, Journals and your course books. When you get fed up of reading, pick up the pen and start writing. Write till your hands can write no more. Then start reading whatever you have written, correct mistakes and try to avoid them in the next attempt. 2) English Paper 2: The Trick: There is no trick for it. It covers the knowledge of the language since 'you were in grade 5' uptil the day of exam. Get the reknowned books, analyze your weak points and rectify them one by one. Work on this paper even when you are preparing your optional subjects (after all, you are preparing everything in English, aren't you ??) 3)Pakistan Affairs: The Trick: Tame your fear of this subject in your 'pehli fursat'. Develope interest in it as a true Pakistani. Make notes of dates, events and people. Work your way starting from ancient history uptil today. 4)Islamiat: The Trick: It's a very high scoring subject provided you attack your prep from the correct angle. In my humble opinion, you should attempt it in Urdu. Read Tafseer by Ulama apart from the prescribed books. Memorize Quranic verses and Urdu Ashaar for references. 5)Everyday Science: The Trick: Keep your eyes and ears open while you move about in your surroundings. Ask questions from yourself and find answers. Like" How the hell does this TV work ??, How can I listen to my friend on my cell phone while moving in my car ?? What the heck does make me breathe or walk or talk ??". Be curious. Read Encycolpedia. Read the prescribed books throroughly. 6) World Affairs: The Best Trick: READ LOT'S N' LOTS N' LOTS OF DAWN. Watch atleast three global news channels like CNN, BBC etc. DDG (Thanx Muti) |
